September Resident of the Month
September 9, 2022
With great joy, we introduce our September Resident of the Month, Elizabeth Buda!
Elizabeth was born in Pusztadobos, Hungary. She immigrated to the United States in 1964 with the help of her aunt. She met Laszlo, her husband, in Cleveland, and the pair was married in 1965. They were married 36 years before his passing. They had a son, Laszlo Jr., and a daughter, Barbara. Elizabeth loves spending time with her children and is so proud that she passed on the Hungarian heritage to them. She also has a granddaughter named Olivia, but let’s not forget Bogie, her daughter’s dog, who she loved walking and being around!

Elizabeth was a homemaker, raising her two children in Parma and Middleburg Heights. Later in life, she worked at several Small Parts factories. She loved to cook delicious Hungarian meals, including stuffed cabbage and peppers, as well as various tasty pastries. She also enjoyed the spring, when work in her garden and watch the Cleveland baseball team. Elizabeth always looked forward trips with her dear friends, Helen and Kalman Szabo, to the Lake Erie Islands. She always wanted to drive, so once she learned English, she would be able to get her driver's license. Elizabeth was so proud when she finally recieved her driver's license and obtained her US citizenship.
Elizabeth now lives in our Serenity Circle neighborhood, and has resided at Riverview Pointe since 2019. She loves getting her hair done weekly and enjoys being around others and listening to music at Riverview Pointe.
Congratulations, Elizabeth! It's been a pleasure getting to know you more!
