The Definition of Dedication
February 5, 2025
For nearly two decades, Linda Zander has been a dedicated and beloved part of the Riverview Pointe family. Following National Activities Week, we came together to celebrate her well-earned retirement as an Activities Assistant, surrounded by residents, staff, and family who wanted to express their love and gratitude.

Linda’s journey with us began over 17 years ago when she first volunteered in the Activities Department, spending time one-on-one with residents and helping with special events. When Mary George-Potting stepped into the Activities Director role, she encouraged Linda to join her team, saying, “Why not get paid for it?” And from that moment on, Linda became an invaluable part of Riverview Pointe. While she worked full-time for most of her tenure, she also remained flexible in her schedule, always willing to support her team and give others the opportunity to grow.
During the height of the COVID pandemic, Linda became a beacon of joy, going room to room to play music, dance, and ensure that residents remained engaged despite the challenges. When Live Entertainment Fridays returned, Linda never missed a chance to encourage residents to participate—and she danced the entire time!
Linda’s dependability, kindness, and passion have left a lasting impact on our community. Residents and staff alike describe her as selfless, compassionate, and a joy to be around. She is, without a doubt, the true definition of dedication, and we cannot thank her enough for her years of service and unwavering commitment to our residents.
Congratulations, Linda! You will be deeply missed, but your legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone at Riverview Pointe.
