July Resident of the Month

James Perrien, fondly known as "JP" by most, is our Resident of the Month for July 2024!

JP grew up right here in Olmsted Falls. While his brother calls him Jim, he prefers JP, a nickname given by his high school buddies as JP21. As the oldest of four brothers and two sisters, JP has always been a supportive and humorous figure in his family. His youngest brother, Bill, describes him as "one of the nicest people you will ever meet, always willing to help anyone and with a great sense of humor." JP still introduces Bill as "my baby brother," a testament to their close bond. One of their proudest moments together was when JP was Bill's best man at his wedding.



At his previous residence, JP earned the nickname "The Jester" because of his humor. JP loves motorcycles, muscle cars, and rock 'n' roll music. If you walk down Pleasant Valley and hear music blasting, it's likely coming from JP's room. In his younger days, he played guitar in a rock band. He also enjoys outdoor activities like weeding, camping, fishing, and sitting around a campfire with a beer. JP used to ride a three-wheeler bicycle all over, even to Cleveland, often causing traffic to back up with his orange flags. He would smile and wave to the honking drivers as they passed.

JP has been a resident at Riverview since 2021 and says he likes helping people and has met many good friends here. Known for his energy, friendliness, and happiness, JP always greets everyone with a smile. We are proud to honor such a vibrant and kind-hearted individual as our Resident of the Month!
