August Resident of the Month

Donna Lis, our August Resident of the Month, has a story as vibrant as her smile. Growing up in Toledo, Ohio, alongside her seven siblings, Donna was named after the iconic actress Donna Reed, thanks to her mother's love of movies. At just sixteen, Donna graduated at the top of her class and went on to earn a business degree from Ohio State University. She enjoyed a successful career in procurement and inside sales, retiring from Meier Transmission in the 1990s.



Donna was happily married to her best friend, Ed, for over 25 years. Together, they created cherished memories, celebrating each anniversary at Niagara Falls, bowling, and traveling across Europe and Canada. Donna is also an avid reader and was part of a book club for many years. She loved tending to her flower garden.

Before joining us at Riverview Pointe, Donna spent 50 years in North Ridgeville. She is incredibly proud of her daughter Tracy, son-in-law Doug, two grandchildren, and grand-dog George the Chihuahua. Donna finds joy in staying active, participating in activities with her new friends, and playing trivia, her favorite.
