Making Memories - "Caroline Humbel Day"
April 27, 2020 Olmsted Falls, Ohio - The city of Olmsted Falls recognized April 24, 2020, as "Caroline Humbel Day" in honor of our resident's 100th birthday. Caroline is a life long resident of Olmsted Falls, Ohio. She was married to her wonderful husband, John for 30 years. Along with her children, she has two loving grandchildren, Dan and Debra, who she is proud of every day. Caroline has many interests, but one of her greatest joys is enjoying the beauty of horses.
The caregivers at Riverview wanted to make this day extra special for Caroline while her family was unable to be there. She was pampered with a manicure and a fresh hairstyle. The activities staff gathered the support of other residents and staff to help decorate her room with 100 cupcakes displaying beautiful messages wishing her a Happy Birthday! We finished the celebration with cake and singing. Our staff shared these memories with her family through FaceTime.
Our staff goes to great lengths to make memories with our residents. Caroline was overjoyed and so honored that the staff organized this celebration for her.
Happy 100th birthday, Caroline!
